We had a great New Year's eve! Our friends invited us to stay with them at a beach house in Laie. It was a great house! It had a huge grassy yard and then steps down to a private beach! We LOVED it! We spent some time snorkeling in the crystal clear water and then we played games and ate good food. When midnight came there was fireworks galore! We could see them all over the island! People here are nuts about fireworks on New Years! The worst are the bomb ones. They shake the windows and it feels and sounds like a bomb went off! The other day I watched the movie Pearl Harbor and that night awoke to those big booming fireworks shaking the windows! I thought we were being attacked by the Japanese again! Thanks to the Hogg family for inviting us! Too bad we forgot our cameras!
